My Hero!

Yesterday we went up to the Freedom Salute in Salt Lake. It was a big awards and recognition ceremony for the soldiers of the 145th. They recognized all the soldiers by giving them a flag in a nice wooden case, a pin, and a metal of some kind! It was really awesome to see all of the soldiers there who served with Brady in Iraq. They are a bunch of neat guys. After they recognized all of the soldiers they gave out some other awards! Much to my suprise, Brady recieved the Bronze Star Award! He didn't know he was going to get this and therefore, I was totally clueless!! I am SO proud of him! This is what his award says, Just so you get an idea of why he recieved it! " For: Exceptionally meritorious service in a combat zone with exposure to risk of hostile action during operation Iraqi Freedom. His outstanding duty during combat operations in Iraq contributed to the overwhelming success of the command's mission. His actions are in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon him, mulit-national force-Iraq, and the United States Army!" There is another paper that goes into detail about the things that Brady did and about him being such a great leader and doing his job so well! I am really so proud of him! But Brady being the way he is, doesn't think that he deserves this award. He had a friend killed in Iraq the last time they went over and this is the award that he recieved for what he did. So Brady found it hard to accept the award yesterday. He told me that people receive this award for saving lives and losing lives for their country. He doesn't realize the impact that he must have had on so many people over there. In my mind he is one of the very best soldiers you will find. I am so extremely proud of him not just for receiving the bronze star, but for being there when our country needed him both times. He has been over seas twice, and didn't complain about going either time. He is an awesome leader and has made some awesome friends through his deployments! He knows his duties and does them well. I am so honored to be married to the finest soldier in the world, and the hottest!! I love you with all my heart Brady and am SO proud of you! Congrats again for your very deserving award!!!

My kids

Hey everyone! The other day I was sitting at home with my kids and decided that to take them out and take some fun pictures of them! I'm definately not the greatest photographer in the world and need a new camera, but we had a ton of fun taking them! Looking at these pictures made me think about my two little angels and how grateful I am for them! If any of you know my kids you know that they are not "Angels", (most of the time!) They are mostly full of hell and come by it honestly! But they are my whole world and I wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING. Hadlee is SO extremely full of life and is so smart. Nothing gets past this little girl. She remembers EVERYTHING and doesn't let us forget! She has a huge imagination that keep Brady and I laughing and talking every single day! She absolutley LOVES her grandmas and grandpas ( and let me tell you there are a lot of them!), Aunt Tash, and Playing, Playing, Playing! Houston is also full of life and follows in his big sisters footsteps! He has this smile that NO one can resist and he knows it. He is getting into something all the time and is sure to make a huge mess wherever he goes. He is definately all boy. He loves balls ( throwing them), dirt, mud puddles, exploring outside, and dancing!! The thing I love the most about Houston is his hugs! He gives the best hugs in the world for a little boy! I love both of my kids very much. My days are sometimes crazy and i'm usually chasing after them both, and yelling at them both to be nice, or get back in the house, or clean up that mess..., but at the end of the day, the very best thing for me to hear is " Mommy I love you!" I sometimes have to step back and realize that they are just little kids, and I need to leave the messes for a minute to sit on the couch and cuddle with them! That's what is really the most important to me! I love my kids to death and I am So extremely blessed to have both of them in my life! Brady and I couldn't ask for anything better! Love you guys!

I've still got it!!

At cheer camp this year Monica caught me sitting with one of my feet up by my head! She commented on it and then we got talking about how I could put both feet behind my head when I was in high school! I'm sure if you went to school with me, you remember!( It's just a stupid human trick!!) Anyway, so I told her I could still do it and she didn't believe me. SO..., I had to show her! So needless to say the girls had to see it! And that's when Monica snapped the picture! How embarrasing! My big ol butt in the air! BUT..., i thought I would put it on our page so that those of you who knew I could do it before, could laugh and remember how retarded I really am~!!! But hey.., "I've still got it after 2 kids, a few fat rolls and 26 years old!!!"
